Below are all the most frequently ask questions I receive on a regular basis from my students as well as customers. I strive to post them all as time permits for reference in the future for all others who may visit the site.

Ordering Merchandise From The Web Site

When viewing the order page, under the ( price $0.00 ) of each item available for order there is an ORDER DETAILS link, click on this link and there will be a pop out window that will open where the detail for that product can be viewed and the ADD-TO-CART button is located at the bottom of the pop out window under the product information.

Video Downloading Instructions: © & TM

When ordering these video's, after going through check out and payment is received, you will be re-directed within 3 - 5 seconds to the downloads page automatically to download the video's. These videos, depending on the the title and length / time of the video, some range from 126 minutes - to - 155 minutes, so the actual size of the the downloads depending on title and time can range from 245 MBs for short ones,  to 455 MBs for the longer ones, there all different sizes.

No need to worry about hard drive space at all, once you have paid, you will be re-directed to the download page, once you get to that page BOOKMARK IT in your web browser so you can go back to it over and over again to download what you want when you want.

You don't have to download all them at once, there is no time limit to that download page once you have paid,each person gets there own download page by their IP address so they can download 1 at a time or several.

I would suggest downloading the title you want to view and then burn the video to a CD, then go onto the next one you wish to view, that way you won't have to ever worry about taking up hard drive storage space.

These video downloads are not to be redistributed in any way, All rights are reserved and copyright protected and protected by my TM. ( It is also against Federal and State as well as International law).
These Videos will not work on DVD as they are not high quality enough to do so without major distortion. They are only meant for self training purposes after the access fee has been paid.

Where can I buy Middle Eastern Dance music - cds?

I want to be certified in the Vèda Sereem Technique to teach classes.
Do I start with Level 1 or can I skip Levels ?

Everyone starts at the Beginner Level to be qualified to teach using my name.

Will I get a diploma once I'm certified in the Veda Sereem Technique to teach ?

Yes, there is a different certificate for each level and the license certificate for completion.

Why do you think so many students perform in troupe instead of performing solo ?

Some students feel they are not ready to perform a solo and feel more confident performing as a group...therefore, the audience is not looking at them the entire time but the troupe as a whole.

How old were you when you started dancing professionally ?

I started classes when I was 26 years old and started performing in the D.C. area clubs after about a year.  My instructor, "Veydah Edwards" was moving to Florida and she suggested I audition to replace her.

If I sent you a piece of music from a cd, could you choreograph a routine for me ?

Yes, as long as it is mid-eastern music.

What are your thoughts on the tribal costume ?

I think it is great but most clubs prefer the cabaret costume of beads and jewels.  However, tribal costumes are becoming more and more popular; especially for day time performances.

What is the "Bou Saada" dvd ?

This routine is folkloric yet elegant and requires two scarves.  The costume is quite unique and the music can be purchased from my website - "Music of the Ouled Nail."

Is it proper to perform to any music without paying for the music ?

If you purchase a cd most bands would be happy to have you perform to their music if you are performing for free.  When you charge a fee using their music, it is best to get written permission.

I am a male and wanted to take belly dancing.  If I purchased your dvds will I be able to perform from them since I'm not sure how male dancers are suppose to dance?

My daughter is only five so do you think she can start learning from your dvds?

I'm going to be 62 soon, how long should I continue to perform?

As long as you can continue to dance, you can perform.  I know a dancer in Utah that is 78 and still performing...not in clubs of course, but with her students and at festivals.

Is there any easy way to play finger cymbals [zills] ?

Please go to my website and you will see a dvd called "Strictly Zills."  This dvd is very popular because it teaches you all the secrets to playing zills in a short amount of time.

I have taken beginner classes.  Do you think I should purchase the intermediate dvd ?

I can't advise you on the level dvd you need because I would need to see you in my class to tell you. But, many students that have purchased my Intermediate I dvd purchase the beginning I and II dvd's because they were not ready for intermediate.

What type of sword is used for performing ?

My website has balanced swords and they are reasonably priced. Most of the competitions swords sold today do not come balanced, or, you can not even get the cheaper ones balanced at all, as there is no way to do so, which could result in serious injury when performing to yourself or others.

Can you tell me how to start performing on my own ?

The best way is to purchased my "Choreographed Belly Gram" dvd.  It tells you all the information needed to start performing.

How long will it take to perform a routine ?

Just use my dvds and you can perform in no time as there are numerous routines on each dvd.

I need a dvd that will go through movements step by step so I can perform a choreographed routine.  Do you have any dvds that can help me ?

Yes, there are dvds on my web site that are choreographed routines:  Opening Number, Belly Gram, and veil number.

Can a dancer perform in high heels ?

Yes.  Many dancers that perform in clubs dance feel heels look better with their bead and jeweled costume.

Do you think a dancer can perform in a mini-skirt ?

I'm a traditionally mid-eastern dancer so I prefer to perform in the correct mid-east costume...after all it is the costume and your performance that makes the dance.

What type of tambourine do I need for your "Tambourine" dvd ?

Purchase an inexpensive, light-weight tambourine as these are easier to move and handle while performing.

What is the dvd "The Glass Dance."

You perform while standing on three glasses - difficult but very unique and audiences love it. The dvd Dancing on Glasses will show you what it is.
